In God’s Eye Sight
by Linda Sedrick Pearson
2 Samuel 22:25 Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.
I am measured not by man, but by God. What man counts as unrighteous, God counts as righteousness (John 7:18). My cleanness is as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6) according to man’s standards and measuring stick. Not so according to God’s eye sight.
People expect us to do things the way they expect us to do them. It is when we step out as individuals that others begin to get upset with us. God likes individuality. In fact, He created us that way. Be an individual. Be the way God created you and stop trying to please people. As long as you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, accepted that He paid all of your sin debt, you are righteous. You can stand up and say, “According to my cleanness in His (God’s) eye sight.”
It is God who is the judge and His judgment that matters. Who cares what others think of you? There is nothing they can do to you or for you that begins to compare with what God has for you – he recompenses you with His rewards. This is a great relief to my mind, soul, and spirit. That takes the pressures of the world off my shoulders. It is much easier to please one than tens, hundreds, or thousands.
Thank you, God, for Your eye sight!
Victory Already Belongs to Me
Linda Sedrick Pearson
Jeremiah 20:11 But the LORD is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble; they will not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten. (Easy Reader Version, ERV)
I do not have to fear to go into spiritual battle. Jesus has already won the victory and the victory belongs to me. I do not have to doubt that. There is no shame and will not be any shame. All I have to do is stand up in the power God has already given me. I do not have to cower down and take whatever the world dishes out to me. The victory already belongs to me.
It is not I who will stumble and stutter. According to Jeremiah 20:11, those who persecute me, attack me, and come after me are the ones who will fail – not I! They are the ones who will be not only ashamed – but greatly ashamed. They will NOT succeed in their evil deeds and wrongdoings. They are eternally dishonored and God will never forget that they attack His children.
Victory can be yours. All you have to do is accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, Lord, King, and Victor. He is the one that already won the war. He won it for God the Father, and He won it for anyone that accepts (receives) Him. Where are you on the battlefield right now? Think it over. Devise your battle plan because you can not avoid the war. You are either on the side of victory or have already been defeated! If you are right now on the defeated side, you can come over to the side that has won. Step on over and meet Jesus! He is our General in the army of spiritual battle. The choice is yours – remain defeated or accept the side that has already won.
God Always Calls You by Your Name
Linda Sedrick Pearson
Scripture: 1 Samuel 3:4-10
God knew Samuel by name even though Samuel did not know the Lord yet. God knows you by name also even if you do not yet know Him. He calls you by your name. He speaks it – utters it out loud, waiting for you to respond to His voice.
God doesn’t give up when we don’t answer Him the first time. Do you hear Him calling you? Is He whispering your name? Maybe He is shouting your name to get your attention and you still don’t answer Him.
God always calls you by your name. He knows everyone’s name. God didn’t just stumble onto you. He always had a plan and purpose for you. God works through people. He needs us and we need him. Be thankful we serve the one and only God.
When God called Samuel the third time, Samuel still did not answer Him. Did God stop calling Samuel? No. Instead, the fourth time the LORD came and stood in the room with Samuel and then called his name.
Samuel responded, but only because he had been taught by Eli how to respond. The older servant of God (Eli) taught Samuel that all he had to do was lay still and respond, “Speak, Lord, for your servant hears you.” When Samuel did that, God began to speak and tell Samuel things that were to happen.
The next time you think you hear someone calling you, but everyone says they did not say your name, maybe you should respond, “Speak, Lord, for your servant hears you.”
The Resurrection
Matthew 28:1-20 (King James Version)
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Burn as an Oven
Malachi 4:1-3 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
God tells us clearly what will happen to those who have rejected him. They will be as stubble and they will be burned up. Stubble is the short, stiff stalks of grain or hay remaining on a field after harvesting. Since the wicked will remain as stubble, that means a harvest will have to come first. So, what is the harvest?
The harvest is the gathering of the Christian (or saved) people before that day happens. The Sun of righteousness (Jesus) will come and heal us of any and all infirmities we may have. He will gather us up and keep us safe. He will harvest us and take us away from the burning and heat that is coming. And after it is over, the wicked will be ashes.
If you have never accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior – as payment for all of your sins – do not delay. Accept him today. Confess your sins. Tell God you accept His Son Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Ask Jesus to cleanse you and to save you. He is waiting for you to ask. Ask sincerely – be honest with God because he knows your heart.
Do not be caught without Jesus’ protection on that day spoken about in Malachi 4. Be ready. No person knows the day or time. We are to be ready at all times, every day. Do it now – right this minute.
Until next time,

Be Still and Know He is God
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
There are times when God expects us to just be still and wait on Him. Be still and know that God is God and He will take care of you. Be still and listen for the voice of God. Sometimes we have to be still in order to hear Him because there are times when He speaks in a still small voice. He tells us that in the Bible when He was speaking to Elijah. (I suggest you read the whole 19th chapter of 1 Kings – or even that whole story to get the full details of what happened before this point.)
1 Kings 19:11-12 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
If you are having problems hearing the Lord, maybe it is your time to be still and know that He is God!

Be Careful False Visions
Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
It is good to have a vision for your life – to have some idea of where you are headed whether in business or everyday life. We do have to stay alert though and test the spirits to know whether our visions are false.
If you get a vision, pray about it. Ask God to reveal to you whether this is a true vision sent from him, or is it a false vision. False visions will always lead you away from God. True visions will lead you closer to God.
There are many false prophets out there who say that they receive visions in God’s name and it is just not true. Never take one person’s word about such things. Always test the spirits. If you read the Bible, you will see that usually whenever God’s people received a vision, it was always reinforced by it being shown twice and sometimes three times.

Reincarnation is a Myth
by Linda Sedrick Pearson
Reincarnation is a myth. It is a lie of Satan. If we do not get it (our lives) right this time around, there will not be a second time.
Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
When a person dies there is no coming back to try it over again. The Bible says, “Once to die.” One time only – you live your life – then you die. Then, you face the judgment. What judgement? God’s judgement.
That is why Jesus Christ gave his life for us. He knew we only had one chance to get it right and that we could not get it right on our own. Salvation and the saving grace from God’s judgment is Jesus Christ.
Accept Him or Reject Him! It is your choice.
