About the Author

Betty Buttry, the author, started writing for her children and grandchildren. Betty lives in Puxico, Missouri, and has many stories to tell to the children. She is excited to be able to share her children’s stories with her young readers.

About the Illustrator

Shannon Buttry Alsup, the granddaughter of Betty Buttry, illustrated The Water Pot while still a young girl in school. Each page of this book includes Shannon’s color illustrations.
